BLOG 5 - MY FUTURE JOB

When I start working I would like to have a small office, not like the architectural offices where many architects and passes are one more number within a Company. When I plan to work somewhere I imagine a very bright space with many floors, with ample ventilation. I have never thought of it as a traditional office (In fact, I was previously studying another career and this field was mostly in medical centers and I was terrified of being locked up all day). But above all I think that the pleasant or not pleasant of a place of work, studies or whatever the people with whom it is shared do, therefore I believe that the most important thing for me when choosing a workplace is that in this there are nice people. While I think salary is something important I think it goes to the background in relation factor mentioned above. Being able to travel at work would be something that I would like very much, but I think this goes hand in hand with whatever I want at the moment,  because if for some personal reason I have to stay in Santiago if or if I should not work in a place where traveling outside is a requirement.

BLOG 4 - THEMED POST (TWO)

Since in an architecture studio, I thought that a career related to human habitation can change people's way of life and I think I will be committed to trying to improve something in this área, Although my career goal has been to be able to dedicate myself to academics, I would like to be able to generate change. While in urban planning classes I realize how simple things such as the daily displacement towards the university, school, work are influenced in the way of life of people and how improving the ways in which cities are built could create a Better society. Known is the case of vertical ghettos, which have been flooding the city of Santiago, depriving us of such important sunlight or a good quality of life for people living in them. That is why when I wonder what else I would like to do when I am entitled, Altiro I think about trying to improve at least some of these urban problems as well as municipal regulations, but clearly this is almost a dream due to the large amount of economic interests involved and also that in order to change this, the city would have to be refounded.

BLOG 2 - THE BEST HOLIDAYS - CONCERT EVER!

When I was fourteen I was a fan of the bunkers, a Chilean rock group that was created in conception in 1999. I started to like this band when I was very small and I had necklaces, patches for my backpack and bracelets that showed my fanaticism for the band. The first time I saw them live was the year 2011 at the Manuel Garcia concert, but I always wanted to see them in a concert just theirs. So in 2013 when my parents regulated my ticket to see them I was too happy, I remember going with my sister and singing all the songs together and getting excited to tears when they sang nada nuevo bajo el sol that was my favorite song (I'm still a little embarrassed to assume this). ). I have many moments of that night engraved in my mind. When I left the concert, I promised to go see them again, yes or yes, but the following year the band broke up and so far they haven't met again, Over the years the patches of my backpack and my necklaces disappeared, and in the same way my fanaticism has diminished. 

BLOG 3 - THEMED POST (ONE)

Upon graduating from university, I would like to take a break, a kind of vacation after so many years of study, but would not be that long, because so much time at home would drive me crazy.  Then go to work at an architecture office that is not so big, to be able to have more participation in this and not only dedicate myself to work on other people's projects. Along with this, I would like to be able to make a post title oriented in the history of architecture. After getting the post title I would like to enter to work as professor of workshop of architecture or history (although to achieve this you must spend many years as an assistant of teacher) without neglecting the office, that over the years I would like to have my own office. However, pf course this is what I would like to do in the future, maybe my work projects will change over time. 

BLOG 1 - A COUNTRY I WOULD TO VISIT

The country that I would like to visit is Grecia. Is a country that has always interested me a lot. Previously called Helade. It is one of the most studied countries, was made up of cops. Its considered as the cradle of the Western civilization, due to its development in the field of philosophy, known are Sofocles, Parmenides, Pitagoras. In addition, The greeks were scholars of various subjects, such as, art, math,biology and they presented high progress in the field of architecture. The Partenón, Delfos, Olimpia,Atenas, the Agora they are icons of this contry. The latter are my main motivations to visited Grecia. The historical burden that this country presented is something that would urge me to live in it, besides being close to building so important for architecture.I think visiting or living in this country must be very rich culturally.Also if there was the possibility of working in this country it would be a great contribution to my profession.

Blogpost 10: My Experience Blogging

My experience writing blogs was quite complex, because it also became very difficult about what I like or about my life, even more in English. But after 9 blogs I think that every time I was easier and better than my blogs. What have you learned? Mmh I think he learned an expressive in a better way in English to write everyday things in it, besides writing about things that I never thought about doing in my life. . As I said before, after the blogs published during the semester, I went to this adventure blogger with the biggest relax, that's what I did. It should be something more formal. I think that creating a blog is something I've never had an echo of and it was not my experience in English 3, but I think it's a good way to learn English, very innovative and didactic after all, read the blogs of colleagues and in this way Going to know areas of his life that he did not know was very rewarding. And all this in English, which I must assume has been the subject that has complicated me since I have memory use, but this blog has been a good way to express myself in a language disto to mine

The first thing that caught my attention Zaha Hadid was the way he projected his buildings, how he made a change to all the architecture that was known, making projects with curves. In addition to revolutionizing the way of doing architecture, Zaha was the first woman to win a pritzker, thus breaking with male machismo and hegemony in this type of awards.

A subject that I find very interesting is yoga, it is defined as a set of disciplines that help achieve balance between body and mind. The term yoga comes from Sanskrit "yoga", which means "union", "effort". This set of doctrines comes from India, this is a classical practice of Hinduism, which recognizes an important influence of the ancient philosophy of samkhya. His main theorist was Patanyali. The essential objective of yoga is the reunification of the being with the Absolute, and the access to the supreme consciousness that leads us to enlightenment. Currently, yoga has become very popular in the West, resulting in a discipline based on Hindu theories, but fundamentally focused on the practice of a set of techniques aimed at achieving greater control of body and mind. Among the existing doctrines is : hatha yoga, which includes a sequence of postures and breathing exercises that strengthen the body and promote states of relaxation. And also the pranayama, which is a set of exercises to get control of breathing, which is the vital energy, and achieve peace of mind. Yoga helps the individual to have a more harmonious relationship with their body, to control their mind and emotions, as well as to release stress, all of which contributes to achieving a state of greater well-being.

Blogpost 8: A subject you enjoy studying

When I was little I remember that the story seemed boring to me, it was one of the branches that I hated most at school, but as the years went by I became very interested in it and understanding that more than learning everything by hearth, it was a way to analyze why certain historical events occurred or because unfortunately others occurred. It was so much change, that being in high school was my favorite subjects. In this semester in the field of culture of architecture, we studied the history of the evolution of architecture, from classicism to Latin American baroque, and definitely was the branch that enjoys this semester, I love knowing how and why they were changing these styles. In addition, the orders that the professor asked us were research projects of buildings recognized for their architecture. I think they were the jobs that I've been most interested in and in which I've felt more realizing them.Without a doubt, it was a very big change from being the subject that I most despised to being the one I like the most.

Blogpost 5: A Photo and its Story

This photo reminds me of the day my little dog named Malú arrived at my house, I was years wanting to have a pet and when they let me adopt her I was too happy, I remember that my mother did not agree with having a dog in the house, but over time he was loving her more and more and now he treats her as if she were his daughter. I remember when I arrived it was very scary and it was so small that it hid anywhere in the house, so that in many moments we would go through scares, when we did not find it, then we would find it under the armchairs or somewhere so small that we could not imagine It could be there, it was also very naughty, it broke everything that was, the toys did not last anything. I remember one day he found a stuffed toy from my sister and he fell in love with the stuffed animal and he started to take it everywhere (my sister was not happy with this), but Malú was happy with her new stuffed animal, so much is her fascination with who after 4 years is still playing and sleeping with him.

When born at a time when technology is advancing by leaps and bounds, many electronic devices are part of my day to day, I remember being approximately five or six years old when I first saw a computer, with a huge screen and it took a long time to turn on and off, at the same time the cell phones began to massify.It did not take long for computers to also evolve to be portable. In this way, people begin to be more dependent on these technologies. Although, I do not get to know life without the massification of technology, I think this must have been a setback in people's community life, in how human beings become increasingly individualistic and submerged in their portable devices , preferring many times, to be connected to Instagram or WhatsApp that sharing with their peers.                                                          The northern lights

The northern lights is a effect in the form of brightness that is present in the night sky, usually in the polar zone. In the north hemisphere called aurora borealis and the south hemisphere called aurora southern. The name aurora comes of the roman goddess of the sunrise.

 The auroras are produced when many solar particles collide with the magnetosphere of the earth, it generates that the wind solar move around of the terrestrial sphere and when of hemispheres they do not support more energy, this dissipates in form of radiations electromagnetic on the terrestrial ionosphere creating the visual effects.

  The eskimos when seeing the light thought that is was a narrow, sinus and dangerous road that led to the celestial regions and its light was due to the arrival of the new spirits. Other mythology they thought that the lights in the sky they were the whales with their water jets.

Blog Post 2 "Why did I choose my major?"

   When I was a little girl , I wanted to study architecture,although at that age I didn´t understand what it was about, over the years I lost the interest and  I wanted study pedagogy of physics and mathematics, I was many years with desire to study this major, until I make particular class and I understood that was not my vocation. 
    After I wanted to study odontology or physiotherapist. When I finish to school, I get into Physicaltherapist, in less than a semestre I realize that it was not what I wanted to dedicate. At the time, I didn´t know what major to study, although I knew that I liked architecture I was afraid to enter such a different major, But I decided to enter and it was a good decision because I like a lot.

      Hi. my name is Catalina Ramirez. I was born on may 5th, 1999 in Santiago, Chile. At 4 years old  started to study pre-kinder in , then in kinder  I changed a schools cold Santa Teresita where i was to 6to grade, later entre to liceo 1 Javiera Carrera and there finish the school. In 2017, I started studding physical therapeutic at the Universidad de Chile I studing only semester, later get  into in architecture. .
      My family is composed for my sister called Natalia, my parents and my dog called Malú. We lived in Independencia until 2011, when we moved to Valle Grande, Lampa, ubicated on the periphery to Santiago.
My hobbies are is the handcrafts, such as paint, macrame, to knit, among others. Also I like to go for walks in parks or places.
